The Resurrected Jesus Chapel is one of the architectural and spiritual treasures of Barichara, located next to the cemetery park, in the western part of the municipality. Its carved stone facade, simple and sober, reflects the colonial style characteristic of the region, with a modest structure but full of symbolism and tradition.
Inside, the chapel keeps an atmosphere of recollection and peace, highlighted by stone walls, wooden ceilings and a beautiful main altar. The central altarpiece is finely worked in dark wood and shelters the images of the crucified Christ and the Sorrowful Virgin, elements that invite reflection and prayer. The natural light that enters through small windows creates a play of shadows that enhances the beauty and mysticism of the place.
This temple is a special place for the community and visitors, not only for its religious value, but also for being a living reflection of the history, faith and colonial architecture of Santander.
